Covid Bites

• How is it that cavemen survived the asteroid but the dinosaurs didn’t?  Social distancing.  They stayed 65 million years apart!

• The Foo Fighters 7/17/21 concert for people who were ‘vaccinated only’ was cancelled after a vaccinated band member got Covid.

• I’m wondering when the government will release the number of lives saved by the one-way aisles in grocery stores.

• Fauci flip flops.  Watch this video and see how many you find.  I counted eight times.  Besides this, it’s no wonder the country is confused about Covid, vaccines and masks.  Science is always questioning its results – that’s the scientific method.  That’s why one week you hear that coffee is bad for you and the next week you hear that it cures cancer.  Each scientific conclusion is valid within its purview but often these conclusions conflict.  That’s science.  What complicates things is the media who report this.  They’re doing their job, but to the average media consumer it is confusing and eventually the consumer tunes out the conflicting reports entirely.

• Stages of working from home:

o   Sweet, I get to work from home!

o   It’d be nice to actually talk to someone.

o   I hope that pigeon sits on the windowsill today.

• Government v Covid.  Government just closed up shop!  Didja notice that with private companies or organizations there’s a strong desire to serve the customer?  With government not so much.  For example, Social Security offices have been closed to the public since 3/17/2020.  Yup, that’s right, a year and a half!  Only government can have such a callous disregard for their customers.  What’s especially galling is that the service desks at my local SS office were already behind glass!

• Meanwhile in Sydney and some other parts of Australia….

1. If Australians don’t wear a mask when outside the home, they can be fined or arrested.

2. The government can force Australians to submit to a Covid test, if they refuse, they can be arrested.

3. The government is currently rounding up healthy people and forcing them into state run quarantine hotels.

4. They’re banned from seeing family and friends.

5. Multiple local police stations have been closed so that resources can be diverted into "Covid compliance."

6. Elective surgery has been cancelled again.

7. The schools have been closed again.

8. People who have been ordered to be tested by the government face more than a 12 hour wait.  It’s now the middle of winter and is very cold.  People have been forced to relieve themselves in parks.  People are sleeping in their cars.

Well, I sure don’t want to move to Australia!!!
