You know, the world is broken. Trust in major institutions like education, news media and even the U. S. military is at all-time lows. See below. We’re fractured, wounded, splintered. We’re a dysfunctional family.
We can only change this situation one by one.
So, for this New Year, I’m going to do my part in trying to fix my small place in the world. I’m making a resolution to:
Strengthen my friendships
Try to understand other’s views better
Love more
Act kinder
Get a little closer to my God
Laugh more
Be more charitable
I’m far from perfect and I may slip, but I will do my best to follow these resolutions. I may not fix the world, but I think I’ll be a happier person.
